That Which Does Not Cure Proves
Most people know the phrase “like cures like.”
But there’s another principle in homeopathy that is just as important — and far less understood:
That which does not cure proves.
In Episode 110 of Strange, Rare, & Peculiar, Denise Straiges and Alastair Gray explore what this idea really means — and why it matters for how remedies are used.
Homeopathic remedies are often assumed to be harmless or passive. But in classical homeopathy, remedies are understood to act on the organism. That action is what makes healing possible — but it also means remedies must be well indicated.
So what happens when they’re not?
This episode dives into the relationship between provings, remedy action, and the foundational principle of “like cures like.”
