Jeremy Mikolai

Adjunct Faculty | ND

Jeremy Mikolai, ND is a heart-centered healthcare professional. The heart, blood vessels, endocrine, and immune systems are his areas of special concern.He graduated in 2010 from the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM), as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), then completed three years of clinical residency, including a Chief Resident year. He followed with a year of integrative cardiovascular medicine fellowship (2,000 hours of advanced training). He has extensive experience in electrocardiography (ECG) and cardiac diagnostic testing.

Dr. Mikolai has been on the faculty of multiple natural medicine colleges and universities and has taught continuing education to professionals. He has supervised students in didactic, clinical, and research settings. He was course designer and instructor for cardiology at UAGM School of Naturopathic Medicine in PR from 2013-2015. He has taught courses in pathology, homeopathy, and nutrition in the ND program at NCNM.

Before joining the faculty of AHE, he was associate Chief Medical Officer at National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), as well as an Assistant Professor in their ND program and Director of the Dermatology & Minor Surgery course block. His published clinical research has focused on immunology, lipid metabolism, botanical medicine, and probiotics.

As a student, Jeremy pursued advanced coursework and clinic rotations in homeopathy, spent multiple years as a gross anatomy lab TA, and excelled in his physiology studies. He is inspired by the opportunity to help teach and develop the Health Sciences course series at AHE.

Dr. Mikolai practices primary care naturopathic medicine and integrative cardiovascular medicine in a multispecialty group practice in Connecticut and maintains a small private practice in Minnesota. He holds naturopathic licenses in these states, as well as in Oregon.

His other interests include cooking, gardening, music, and the arts.
