In Episode 122 of Strange, Rare & Peculiar, Denise Straiges and Alastair Gray continue the conversation from case analysis into one of the most important—and often misunderstood—parts of homeopathic practice: case management.
Once a remedy has been given, how does a homeopath know what to do next?
Was the response an aggravation? A proving symptom? A return of an old symptom? A sign that the dose needs to be adjusted? A reason to wait? Or a reason to retake the case entirely?
These questions are central to safe, effective homeopathic care.
This episode explores why clear case management depends on being able to observe the action of the remedy over time. Denise and Alastair discuss the importance of single-remedy prescribing, the role of potency and repetition, and why layered protocols, repeated high potencies, nosodes, sarcodes, and “clearing” approaches can make it much harder to understand what is actually happening in a case.
They also return to Hahnemann’s Organon to look at what he says about similars, isopathy, remedy repetition, obstacles to cure, and the careful management of chronic disease.
If you have ever wondered what homeopaths are looking for after a remedy is prescribed—or why “more remedies” does not always mean better care—this episode is worth your time.
