Alumni Spotlight: Kaylee Braz

My name is Kaylee Braz, and I am a graduate from the Academy of Homeopathy Education and a Certified Classical Homeopath. I am thrilled to share some of my story with you about my quest to becoming a homeopath in my late 20s and getting certified by 30!

My story isn’t uncommon. There are many homeschool mothers who discover homeopathy and pursue their new found passion of helping others. This 230+ year old system of medicine holds ancient wisdom in its roots. When it is newly presented to someone, it feels like a beautiful gift and hope for a better life. Sharing this hope gives a fire I’ve never felt before.

A little about me-  I homeschool my four children following Waldorf ideology. This path is a beautiful fit for my family and it is amazing how many similarities there are between Waldorf and Homeopathic philosophies!

I first discovered homeopathy, inadvertently, when I used ‘teething tablets’ with my oldest child. Then during my second pregnancy, in the journey to finding more natural ways to raise my family- I purchased a couple of Helios kits. The rest is history! I knew I had to do this.

Co-founding Americans for Homeopathy Choice was an incredible experience and further drove my passion in this expedition.

Just before starting my journey at AHE, I realized I needed to have some prerequisites under my belt. I completed an associates degree with a health careers focus. I had a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and a 5 month old baby when I began the full time program at AHE. I liked the idea of the concentrated class time and accountability of all classes happening live! I had my 4th daughter during winter break between my 3rd and 4th semesters. The school was immensely supportive during this time and so gracious. Several other classmates in my cohort had babies during our program – we were affectionately referred to as the Super Moms or the ‘Breeders’. The family feel of the school community continues even after graduation. Now in the process of getting divorced, I am grateful for this adoptive homeo-family that has continued loving on my family. I have developed friendships that I believe will be life long. I have traveled to visit these homeo-pals and vice versa. I never imagined developing such bonds.

My goal is to help other families through the struggles we face in this modern world, by using a tried and true system of medicine. Homeopathy is a beautiful adjunct to a holistic lifestyle. I desire to help individuals transcend their self limiting beliefs and attain their full potential. It is a joy and such a gift to be able to spread light.

My hope is to encourage other mothers – we can do hard things! Don’t squash your dreams. You are capable and worthy. Be audacious and claim it. When you need a sister to call on, you’ll always have a circle of homeos to surround you.

“For the hand that rocks the cradle Is the hand that rules the world.
