Homeopathy Certification & Licensure: New CHP & LHP Credentials Now Available to AHE-Trained Practitioners

Homeopathy certification and professional licensure are entering a new era—and graduates of ACHENA-accredited homeopathy schools are leading the way. The Academy of Homeopathy Education (AHE)—an ACHENA-accredited program—now qualifies you for Board Certification through the North American Homeopathic Examiners (NAHE) and Professional Licensure through the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners (AHIME).

These credentials are designed to elevate ethical, evidence-informed, and traditionally grounded homeopathic practice and are available exclusively to those trained in accredited homeopathy schools

Certified Homeopathic Practitioner (CHP)

The Certified Homeopathic Practitioner (CHP) credential is board certification exclusive to graduates of ACHENA-accredited programs.

  • Exam Requirement: Successful completion of the Homeopathic Practitioner Licensing Exam (HPLEX), or the CHC exam if taken prior to May 2025.
  • Standards of Practice: CHP certificants commit to Hahnemannian principles, setting them apart from individuals using unvetted protocols, polypharmacy, or non-homeopathic “detox” methods.

This credential signals a high level of professional training and clinical accountability, helping to protect the integrity of homeopathy in modern healthcare.

Licensed Homeopathic Practitioner (LHP)

The Licensed Homeopathic Practitioner (LHP) credential is available through the Arizona Board of Homeopathic and Integrated Medicine Examiners (AHIME)

  • Eligibility: U.S. legal residency, graduation from an ACHENA-accredited program, and successful completion of the HPLEX or CHC exam.
  • Professional Value: The LHP provides a state-sanctioned, consumer-trusted credential, representing a meaningful step forward in regulatory recognition for qualified homeopaths.

Stand Out in the NAHE Practitioner Directory

NAHE maintains a Practitioner Directory exclusively for CHP and LHP credentialed practitioners.

Being listed in this directory shows the public and referring professionals that you:

  • Are a rigorously trained homeopathic practitioner
  • Practice in alignment with fundamental homeopathic principles as set forth by Samuel Hahnemann in the Organon of the Medical Art
  • Refrain from unvetted practices, polypharmacy, and product-driven prescribing
  • Are committed to individualized, ethical care that clients and colleagues can trust

Already certified or licensed? You can join the directory by completing the Practitioner Directory Application on the NAHE website.

Why These Credentials Matter for Homeopathy’s Future

In an era where misuse of homeopathy is increasingly common, choosing to become CHP Board Certified or LHP Licensed represents more than just a career milestone. It’s a stand for sound education, vetted clinical training, and integrity in practice

These credentials are designed to raise the standard for what it means to be a homeopathic practitioner—together we can advance homeopathy to its rightful place in healthcare

Thinking About Studying Homeopathy?

If you’re considering professional training, AHE is one of the few ACHENA-accredited schools whose curriculum fully qualifies you for these credentials.

  • New to homeopathy? AHE’s two- and four-year programs prepare you for safe, ethical practice and eligibility for board certification.
  • Already trained elsewhere? AHE’s postgraduate and transfer options can help you meet ACHENA accreditation requirements so you can apply for these credentials.
