As you may have seen on our social media channels, our students and alumni are making significant contributions to the field of homeopathy. One great example is AHE student Claire Marlowe, whose research proposal on the use of Sepia for Post Partum Depression (PPD) will be carried out by HOHM Foundation. Claire will be part of the team working on this project. Stay up to date on homeopathy research by signing up for the HOHM Foundation newsletter.
Claire shares, “I found homeopathy through a ‘Hail Mary.’ After years of suffering from chronic, life-threatening depression, my last-ditch effort before succumbing to pharmaceuticals was this strange internet word, “homeopathy.” Within 5 minutes of taking 5 little pellets, it felt as though a palpable weight and grayness was lifted from my soul. I had an immediate ugly, but cleansing cry, I could breathe better, and I could finally form the thought that life had meaning and promise. I’ve been hooked on homeopathy ever since!
For almost 20 years now, I’ve successfully helped family, friends, strangers, and pets. I realized around age 40 that I wasn’t getting any younger. After years of searching and with God’s providential timing I finally found AHE, a school that met all of my criteria and then some.
My journey through AHE is one of my proudest life accomplishments. Its rigorous curriculum demanded my utmost effort and I’m confident that what I’ve learned will be more than enough to be an effective practitioner. The final capstone assignment of designing a research study cleverly tied everything together for me. My experience with depression, and later post-partum depression (PPD), was the impetus behind the idea of testing Sepia against PPD. I have such a heart for all the moms that struggle behind closed doors and would be thrilled to help usher in a proven and gentle treatment for PPD that any practitioner could confidently prescribe.
Upon formal graduation, I’ll launch Sweetwater Homeopathy in my small corner of high-desert Montana. I desire nothing more than to be an instrument of God, to offer relief from sufferings, especially those of mothers, children, and the hard-working, stoic folks so common to rural America.
I earnestly thank the diligent, visionary, dedicated faculty at AHE for making my dream come true and giving me the opportunity to help make a difference.”
